Art articulates the main task of the human being in the age of new technologies — to build a living future (i.e. a future that gives us freedom) rather than an undefined, mechanical future that is built without our participation.”

Bio

Artistic Vision and Interdisciplinary Expertise

As a curator, I have embarked on a captivating journey at the intersection of art, science, and technology around 12 years ago. My artistic vision is deeply rooted in the belief that the most profound and transformative ideas emerge when different fields collaborate and ignite innovative conversations. This belief forms the core of my curatorial philosophy.

Through rigorous academic pursuits, I've delved into the nuances of communication strategies between artists and scientists. This exploration culminated in my Ph.D. research (Sorbonne, May 2023), which focused on the intricate forms of representation in Art&Science projects. It helped me to bridge the gap between two seemingly distinct worlds in my own practice, forging a path towards a harmonious synergy.

I truly believe that the most captivating and intriguing form of representation in Art&Science projects unfolds at the intersection of three distinct forms: installation, performance, and documentation. This convergence offers a profound opportunity to delve deeply into the intricate tapestry of interdisciplinary projects, allowing us to explore their multifaceted nature with the utmost precision. In this dynamic fusion, installation breathes life into abstract concepts, creating immersive experiences that resonate on a visceral level. Performance adds a human dimension, infusing vitality into the narrative and facilitating an emotional connection with the audience. Meanwhile, documentation provides insights into the creative process and preserves the essence of these transient moments, ensuring that the project's legacy endures and remains accessible for future generations.

It is within this triumvirate, this rich interplay of installation, performance, and documentation that the true magic of Art&Science unfolds, revealing the boundless potential of this interdisciplinary realm.

Dedication to a Sustainable Future

I am driven by a profound commitment to the betterment of humanity and the creation of a sustainable world. I believe that the union of art and science holds the key to addressing some of the most pressing global challenges we face today, particularly in the realms of ethics, durability, ecology, and nature.

One of my proudest achievements has been coordinating the interdisciplinary project "EDEN — Ethics — Durability — Ecology — Nature" of the artist-researcher Olga Kisseleva. This endeavor sought to harness innovative technologies and unconventional thinking to address ecological problems. It stands as a testament to my dedication to crafting creative solutions for a more sustainable world.

Openness to New Art & Science Projects

I stand as a staunch advocate for the development of new Art & Science projects that contribute to the well-being and survival of humanity. My career has been marked by curatorial ventures, educational initiatives, and artistic collaborations that have expanded the boundaries of what is possible when art, science and other disciplines converge.

Moving forward, I am resolutely open to the creation of fresh, boundary-pushing projects that have the potential to reshape our understanding of the world and drive meaningful change. I am dedicated to fostering dialogues between artists and scientists, unlocking the power of interdisciplinary collaborations to address the complex challenges of our time.

In a world where sustainability is not merely an option but a necessity, I believe that Art&Science projects hold the promise of illuminating the path forward. With an unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of creativity and knowledge, I am poised to contribute to a brighter, more sustainable future for humanity through the lens of art and science.
